Ruffano Farm

The farm takes its name from the countryside around Mount Ruffano, where it extends its cultivations. The simple peasant tradition and careful attention to the biodiversity of the island of Ischia, produces most of the ingredients for the restaurant’s cuisine and hotel guests. Seasonal vegetables are cultivated without any chemical pesticide or fertilizer, as well as the orchard and citrus fruit from which comes the fruits to make homemade jams and cakes. Selected typical Mediterranean flowers, grown spontaneously, honey is harvested in its most genuine and pure form. In the vast estate are growned up small poultry animals and the famous rabbit that characterizes one of the typical dishes of local cuisine. The whole area is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees whose well-crafted fruits give rise to a renowned extra virgin olive oil exclusively worked with cold mills. Particular importance is then dedicated to the cellar, always open to guests’ visits, where it is possible to taste along with small local specialties the red wine “Ruffano” and the white “Punta Chiarito”, selected from carefully cultivated grapes and natural methods.
